NYFW Part 1

It's finally FASHION WEEK! So remember when I told you to get ready for the shit load of blog post about which collections would be my favorite, well here it is, the first part of it.

Oversized coats, Turtleneck dresses with pencil skirts underneath, Silk-Satin pieces, need I say more.  Ramon Martin and Ryan Lobo made their first runaway debut yesterday and what a way to start. They stated that they focused more on a woman presence and I quote "strong and soft at once". When I saw this collection I pictured Miranda, a hard working women who sacrificed a lot to be the head bitch boss of an amazing magazine company. All I'm saying is don't get in her way!

Marissa Webb

I loveeeeee this collection like obsessed with this collection, I look at it and atomically want everything that was on that runaway. Marissa knew exactly what she was doing when she said she wanted a polished, edgy, hectic, chaotic, fast paced life (even though she kind of lose me with the leather arm warmers, but so what its leather right). She had such amazing jackets that were cut from gray marl,  leather was everywhere (tops, bottoms, jackets), and plaid prints were also everywhere (did you see that shirt and skirt combo). There was a lot of business on top and party underneath, which I mean come on who doesn't love that!

Costello Tagliapietra
If you've been following my blog than you already know I have a love for mixing prints. There was a lot of feminine strength in this collection with the amount of shiny contrast, Modern marbled prints, Track pants with gathered leather waistline (best detailed part), cropped tuxedo pants, and nip-waisted jackets. How amazing is that burgundy velvet jumpsuit!?

Creatures of Comfort

Last but not least Creatures of Comfort. Did anyone else notice the whole clue board game theme? There was a lot of layered looks, oversized coats (especially that beautiful coat in powder blue with a shawl collar and unfinished seam that opened up the show), high collared capes, and flatform shoes. Black will always be my go to color but I am excited for the color blocking look. I'm happy to see that the plaid trend is going to stay for next winter, that is one trend I did not master yet.

Until next time for part 2 of NYFW, see you soon have a good day. Let me know what were some of your favorite collections.
